We are NOT Lenders or Financial Planners - we are Mortgage Intermediaries, fully accredited with each lender used. We don't waste time with myriads of different and often unknown lenders, but instead, use top-line carriers with a stable history and great reputation. We work for YOU, not the Lender.
We are not a high turnover corporate loan factory - instead, we are a smaller, more personalised business offering plenty of nurturing for the less experienced borrower. Provided you are within a reasonable radius of Melbourne, we come to you! If you are not a Melbourne resident - no problem. With the communications networks available today, distance servicing is not difficult at all. We are currently assisting a number of interstate and overseas clients via email, fax, mail and telephone.
For those clients seeking accelerated home ownership, our relationship does not end at settlement. We continue to guide you for 12 months after settlement either by phone, email, or personal consultation, to ensure you are successful!

Principal Profile
Better Planning's principal, Russell Moody, spent his first 7 years in heavy engineering as a tradesman and later as a technical sales assistant.
He then explored self employment by joining the AMP Society, spending 12 1/2 years as a consulting representative, marketing AMP's investment and Insurance products.
Following AMP, Russell joined a Home Buying Advisory Group which helped novice home buyers plan and eventually buy their first home. In this role he assisted home buyers with budgeting, saving for a deposit, calculating insurances, and financing their property purchase. |

A year later he joined a large Financial Planning group who were pioneers of the 'Early Mortgage Reduction and Investment' package so prolific today.
While there he produced a software package designed to project helpful before-and-after cashflows.
After 6 years the group disbanded and, with this vast knowledge and experience behind him, Russell established 'Better Planning' from which he
continues to give sound home mortgage reduction guidance to prospective borrowers, as well as to accountants and financial planners.
An Accredited Mortgage Consultant with the Mortgage & Finance Association of Australia (MFAA), Russell has access to over 35 Australian mainstream
and boutique lenders offering a huge range of options.
Today, Better Planning has scores of clients well on their way to accelerated home ownership and independence through skills taught by Russell Moody and his associates.
